Eczema

Eczema is a term for a group of medical conditions that cause the skin to become inflamed or irritated. Eczema is also known as atopic dermatitis. Eczema is a chronic skin disease in which the skin becomes itchy, reddened, cracked and dry. when it is new eczema the affected skin becomes red and elevated with small blisters containing a clear fluid. No matter which part of the skin is affected, eczema is almost always itchy. Since many people with eczema also have allergies the doctor may perform allergy
test to determine possible irritants.

 

 

Symptoms Of Eczema


  •  The skin may be broken in places
  • Some areas of the skin are cracked
  • The skin usually feels dry.
  • Itching usually gets worse at night
  • Scratching may also result in areas of thickened skin
  • Many areas of the skin are itchy and sometimes raw if scratched 
  • Some inflamed areas develop blisters and weep

 Causes Of Eczema 

 The exact cause of eczema is unknown but its thought to be linked to an overactive response by the body's immune system to an irritant. It is this response that causes the symptoms of eczema. In addition eczema is commonly found in families with a history of other allergies or asthama. Although there is no cure most people can manage their disease with medical treatments and by avoiding irritants. the condition is not contagious.


  Home Remedies to Cure Eczema


1.  Coconut is very relieving for eczema problems. A thin layer of coconut oil     

     or coconut oil lotion bars helps to cool eczema and itching pains. Sometimes 

     coconut oil mixed with camphor gives a great relief in itching sensation.
  

2.  Apply vitamin E oil especially natural D- alpha tocopherol with mixed natural

     tocopherols. You can break open gel capsules for the oils.

3.  Aloe vera gel especially when mixed with with vitamin E oil is a useful 
     symptom remedy. 
4.  Ten drops of gentian tincture before each meal helps the digestive system 
     eliminate toxins that can irritate skin. Take as often as needed.
5.  Cut thin slices of a whole organic cucumber and allow the slices to soak for 
    at least two hours. Filter the liquid and apply it with a clean cloth or gauze.
